As the train climbs, at every turn you will be treated to spectacular vistas of awe-inspiring alpine vistas from the comfort of your seat. The route follows the glacier-fed Waimakariri River through mighty gorges before crossing rich farmlands en route to coastal Christchurch.
Carriages have reclining seats, headphone sockets with onboard commentary, panoramic windows and also an open-air viewing area so you won’t miss a thing!
