Trincomalee City Tour

Take a tour of the historic and cultural sites of Trincomalee. During your two hour exploration you will visit the Commonwealth War Cemetery, the fish market and will learn about the harbour that is so central to Trincomalee’s history. You will also visit Fort Frederick, which occupies the neck of a narrow peninsula and has been a defensively important site for centuries. Today the fort is used by the Sri Lankan military and contains a number of cannons and colonial buildings within its stone walls. Accessed through the fort is the revered Koneswaram Temple, a Hindu temple which sits upon a rocky promontory ‘Swami Rock, surrounded by the sea on three sides.
