Itinerary
Day 1 Colombo
Arrive into Colombo and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 Wesley College Rugby
Transfer to the Wesley College Rugby grounds for a match with the local team.
Day 3 Colombo
Free time to explore.
Day 4 Colombo to Kandy
Travel to Kandy on a train, you will travel pass vegetation and rural villages and, it is almost impossible to miss the smiling faces of the local children. Later, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, known locally as Sri Dalada Maligawa, the most sacred temple in the whole of Sri Lanka. This important shrine boasts intricate carvings and beautiful Sri Lankan art. During the evening ‘puja’ throngs of pilgrims visit the temple to line up to glimpse the golden casket said to hold the sacred relic and to make offerings of flowers.
Day 5 Trinity College Rugby
Transfer to the Trinity College Rugby grounds for a match with the local team.
Day 6 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Travel to Nuwara Eliya on a train. On arrival, take a walk around the town centre, passing the Victorian post office, the old Hill Club and golf course before a stop at Holy Trinity Church, a quaint building constructed by the British in the mid-19th Century.
Day 7 Nuwara Eliya to Galle
Travel to Galle and go on a walking tour of Galle Fort. Wander along the ramparts past the iconic cricket ground and listen as your guide recounts the captivating history of this unique city. Meander through the streets past some of the best-known landmarks, including the lighthouse and old Portuguese harbour, plus many of the historic churches and residences located within the walls of the fort.
Day 8 St. Aloysius College Rugby
Transfer to the St. Aloysius College Rugby grounds for a match with the local team.
Day 9 Galle
Free time to explore this beautiful country.
Day 10 St. Aloysius College Rugby
Transfer to the St. Aloysius College Rugby grounds for a match with the local team.
Day 11 Galle
Transfer to back to Colombo airport.
