Itinerary
Days 1-2 Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu
and transfer to your hotel. On day 2 you will receive a morning briefing
to ensure everyone is prepared for the trip ahead and then head out on
a walking tour to experience the bazaar and temples of old Kathmandu.
Day 3 Kathmandu
to Kurintar
After departing
Kathmandu by bus, thrill seekers will have the opportunity to join a White
Water Rafting excursion to your destination in Kurintar. Alternatively
you can opt to drive the whole way and spend the afternoon relaxing by
the hotel pool.
Day 4 Kurintar
to Badauri
Head to the relaxed
town of Pokhara and enjoy the beautiful views across to the lake and incredible
views of the snowcapped Annapurna mountains. Walk through small settlements
and farmlands between Kande and the village of Badauri.
Day 5 Badauri
to Panchase Bhanjyang
Begin your day
by walking to Panchase Danda, the high point of the trek, where you will
be able to take in panoramic views of all the Annapurna peaks. From here
you descend to Panchase Bhanjyang where you will have views of Pokhara
and Phewa Tal.
Day 6 Panchase
Bhanjyang to Bumdi
Today pass through
remote and less travelled regions, journeying through forest and spotting
grazing Water Buffalos in meadows before descending to your overnight stop
in Bumdi.
Days 7-8 Bumdi
to Pokhara
Depart Bumdi for
more inhabited areas as you pass the chhettri village of Pumdi to reach
the white dome of the Japanese Peace Pagoda then descend to Pokhara, your
home for the next two nights. Day 8 is at leisure to perhaps visit Tashiling,
a thriving village of Tibetan refugees with its own schools and monastery,
or even hire a boat to visit a small temple on an island in Phewa Tal.
Days 9-10 Pokhara
to Chitwan National Park
Embark to the
Terai region where you will spend the next two nights staying near the
Chitwan National Park, home to a wealth of wildlife. The days will be free
to spot the local creatures, including the rare One Horned Rhino, via safari
drives, nature walks and even floating along the Rapti River in a traditional
dugout canoe.
Days 11-12
Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu
Say goodbye to
this region as you start the journey back to Kathmandu for your last two
nights. Here you will have time at your leisure to enjoy a final explore
of this exciting city with options such as visiting the historic village
of Bhaktapur or meeting the resident Monkeys of the Swayambunath stupa.
Day 13 Kathmandu
Transfer back
to the airport to catch your flight home.
