Itinerary
Days 1-2 Kathmandu
Arrive in Nepal’s mesmerising capital city and meet your tour leader and fellow travellers. On day 2 take a guided tour of fascinating Durbar Square before enjoying a Nepalese cooking demonstration.
Day 3 Kathmandu to Pokhara
Hit the road and head to the lakeside town of Pokhara.
Day 4 Pokhara to Tikhedhunga
Drive to Nayapul where you begin your 10 days of trekking. Ease yourself in with a 2 hour trek through charming villages and rhododendron forests.
Day 5 Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani
Today begins with a slow ascent through woodland with views of the Annapurna range. Passing through dense forests, the route ends at Ghorepani, home to incredible mountain scenery.
Day 6 Ghorepani to Tadapani
Head up to Poon Hill to enjoy the famous sunrise from here and look out for the prolific birdlife en route. Afterwards, trek to Tadapani and if it’s clear you may spot the peak of Machhapuchhare.
Day 7 Tadapani to Chhomrong
Pass by waterfalls and terraced fields during an undulating day of trekking before a final climb into Chhomrong.
Day 8 Chhomrong to Himalaya
Hotel Wake early for a beautiful mountain sunrise before heading out. Cross a number of impressive suspension bridges before entering a bamboo forest.
Day 9 Himalaya Hotel to Annapurna Base Camp
A tough day lies ahead but what a reward at the end! Enjoy wonderful mountain views as you ascend to Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130m.
Day 10 Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
Retrace some of your steps today as you descend to Bamboo village. It’s a long way down but there’s plenty of gorgeous views to admire.
Day 11 Bamboo to Jhinudanda
Continue downwards, crossing rivers and farmland as you make your way to Jhinudanda.
Day 12 Jhinudanda to Pothana
As you descend lower, the landscape becomes ever greener. Today’s trek passes through lush forest and over several fast flowing rivers.
Day 13 Pothana to Pokhara
Your last day of trekking is a short hike to Phedi. Take one last look at the Annapurnas before travelling onwards to Pokhara by road.
Day 14 Pokhara to Kathmandu
It’s time to leave the mountains behind and head back to Kathmandu for your last night in Nepal.
Day 15 Kathmandu
Your tour ends this morning.
