Itinerary
Day 1 Delhi
Arrive into dynamic Delhi, a tale of two cities where historic temples sit next door to new high rise towers.
Day 2 Delhi
Spend a full day exploring the city, enjoying a rickshaw ride and navigating the aromatic spice market before visiting Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India.
Day 3 Delhi to Agra
From Delhi, travel by road to the city of Agra, once the capital of the Mughal Empire. After checking into your hotel you’ll visit Agra Fort with its imposing red sandstone ramparts.
Day 4 Agra to Ranthambore NP
A trip to Agra wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the world-famous Taj Mahal. Explore this majestic white marble mausoleum complex, built in memory of Emperor Shah Jahan’s favourite wife, before embarking on the long drive to Ranthambore National Park.
Day 5 Ranthambore NP
Ranthambore National Park was once the private hunting ground of the maharajas of Jaipur, but now is renowned for its tiger population, thanks to the conservation work of Project Tiger. Enjoy morning and afternoon safaris where you may come across an array of wild animals including elusive Bengal tigers.
Day 6 Ranthambore NP to Jaipur
Today you will travel to the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, painted this colour to imitate the impressive red sandstone buildings of the Mughals. Spend the day at leisure exploring this vibrant city, perhaps visiting one of Jaipur’s lively bazaars or enjoying a Bollywood film.
Day 7 Jaipur
Spend the day visiting the impressive sights of Jaipur including the remarkable Amber Fort, that blends both Hindu and Muslim architecture, and Jantar Mantar Observatory, the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Finish the day visiting a local workshop and learning about the traditional art of block printing and carpet weaving.
Day 8 Jaipur to Delhi
Depart Jaipur and travel back to Delhi. In the evening enjoy a farewell dinner.
