Itinerary
Days 1-2 Delhi to Leh
Fly to Leh, once an important trading post on the legendary Silk Road. The next day enjoy a full day tour of Leh’s highlights.
Days 3-4 Diskit
Traverse the Khardung-La Pass, considered to be the highest driveable road in the world, on the journey to 5★ Chamba Camp Diskit. Over the next two days there are opportunities to hike to a hidden sacred lake or ride a double-humped Bactrian camel across the dunes.
Days 5-6 Thiksey
Drive back towards the Leh Valley and 5★ Chamba Camp Thiksey. The route takes you through a rugged region where shepherds tend their pashmina goats. During your stay, visit the largest monastery in Ladakh for a morning prayer ceremony.
Day 7 Thiksey to Delhi
Transfer to Leh airport for your flight back to Delhi.
