Itinerary

Day 1  Bangalore                                    
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.                                    

Day 2  Bangalore                      
Uncover the hidden heritage and colonial era gems of Bangalore on a half day walking tour. The afternoon is free for you to explore the modern side of India’s ‘high-tech capital’.                                    

Day 3  Bangalore to Mysore      
After a drive to Mysore, discover the old world charm of this cultural city on a half day tour. Your tour includes a stop at Mysore Palace, one of the grandest of India’s royal buildings and the spectacular panoramic city views from the top of Chamundi Hill.  

Day 4  Mysore to Nagarhole NP      
Drive to Nagarhole, one of South India’s largest national parks, whose lush forests are home to elephants, langurs and a small number of tigers. On arrival, head out on a game drive by vehicle or boat.    

Day 5  Nagarhole NP                  
Enjoy more wildlife spotting opportunities on your morning and afternoon game drives.    

Day 6  Nagarhole NP to Ooty/Coonoor      
Depart this morning for the drive up to the beautiful Nilgiri Hills, popular with the locals who come to enjoy the cool fresh mountain air.      

Day 7  Ooty/Coonoor                          
Today your private vehicle and driver are at your disposal to explore the hill stations of Ooty and Coonoor and the  surrounding area. Recommendations include the beautifully maintained Botanical Gardens and the fascinating Highfield Tea Factory to learn about tea production in the region.                                  

Day 8  Ooty/Coonoor to Coimbatore              
Today catch the ‘toy’ train’ to Mettupalayam, a must for railway enthusiasts! On arrival drive on to Coimbatore for the night.          

Day 9  Coimbatore to Backwaters      
This morning begin the long drive down to Alleppey to board your houseboat for the next two nights.                  

Day 10  Backwaters                      
Relax and enjoy the scenery as your houseboat meanders through the canals and waterways of the famous backwaters.              

Day 11  Backwaters to Cochin                  
Bid farewell to your houseboat crew and drive to Cochin. This evening enjoy a sunset harbour cruise.                    

Day 12  Cochin              
Explore this charming city on a half day city tour, which includes visits to the astonishing murals of the Dutch Palace, the picturesque Chinese fishing nets down by the seafront and St Francis Church, the oldest church in India. In the evening experience a traditional Kathakali dance show.                                    

Day 13  Cochin                      
Transfer to the airport.
