Itinerary
Day 1 Zurich
Arrive in Zurich and meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for an orientation tour. Discover the city’s ancient heritage and modern flair as you explore this vibrant town.
Day 2 Zurich to St Moritz
Your journey through the snow-capped peaks begins today. Take a scenic train ride to the chic resort of St Moritz via Chur, marvel at the wonderful natural scenery through the panoramic windows. This afternoon explore the surroundings as you wish, perhaps cross the iconic Bernina Pass.
Day 3 St Moritz to Zermatt
Witness the spectacular alpine landscapes drift by as you roll along extraordinary rail routes, whilst on board the Glacier Express. Cross the Oberalp Pass and enjoy your lunch as you journey past lakes and glaciers bound for the resort town of Zermatt.
Day 4 Zermatt
With today at leisure, relax in the crisp mountain air of Zermatt. For a unique experience perhaps take the cable car up Klein Matterhorn to view the magnificent snow-capped mountain range.
Day 5 Zermatt to Geneva
This morning board a train to Geneva and continue to the sustainable farm, La Ferme Enchantée for a memorable lunch beside the lake. Later, head back to Geneva for an orientation tour through the Old Town through its ancient maze of medieval streets and quiet squares.
Day 6 Geneva to Lucerne
Leaving Geneva behind, picturesque settings accompany you as you travel along the Golden Pass route. Bask in the superb views of the Bernese Oberland and Brünig Pass on the way to lakeside Lucerne. You’ll visit the prominent Chapel Bridge and the poignant Lion Monument, on your orientation tour of the town.
Day 7 Lucerne
Enjoy a day at leisure in stunning Lucerne. Perhaps stroll the medieval streets, or shop for delicious Swiss chocolate to take home.
Day 8 Lucerne to Zurich
Your adventure comes to an end with one last train journey from Lucerne to Zurich airport for your onward journey home.
