Itinerary
Day 1 Gothenburg
Arrive into Gothenburg and transfer to your hotel for check in. Later, head out to explore the hotel’s surroundings with a walk along the canals.
Day 2 Swedish History & City Highlights
Visit the iconic Oscar Fredrik Church with its mint green steeples and terracotta tiling, and the characterful streets of Haga Nygata, Gothenburg’s oldest neighbourhood. Relax in a cosy cafe and soak up the sights of the well preserved town houses. Later, perhaps visit the Museum of Gothenburg for an introduction to the region’s history from the Vikings to present day.
Day 3 Gothenburg’s Art Scene
From fine arts to sculpture and graffiti, Gothenburg is a hive of creativity with a wide selection of galleries and over 100 street murals. Take a walk through central downtown to the cultural Majorna district, filled with stylish coffee shops and independent boutiques. Visit the Roda Sten Art Centre for up and coming exhibits and finish the day listening to live music in one of the many chic cocktail bars or craft breweries.
Day 4 Gothenburg
Take a final walk along the riverside, if you’ve time perhaps take a ferry across the river to Lindholmen Street market where you can enjoy a final taste of the city in the unique surroundings of an old shipbuilding factory. Later take your transfer back to the airport for your onward flight.
