Itinerary

Day 1  Leon            
Arrive into Oviedo and transfer to the town of Leon where your cycling tour begins.            

Day 2  Leon to Astorga            
Discover the highlights of Leon including the beautiful Catedral de Leon dating back to the 13th century, there is an option this morning to take a guided tour. In the afternoon you will transfer to Astorga where Gaudi designed the Episcopal Palace.        
       
Day 3  Astorga to Molinaseca        
Ride into the mountainous Marateira area, you will climb as high as the stone cross at 1,510m altitude, traditionally pilgrims leave a stone here from their homeland. Afterwards, enjoy stunning valley views as you descend to Molinaseca.            

Day 4  Molinaseca to O’Cebreiro      
Today’s ride is full of stunning views. The day starts with a ride through the Bierzo valley before a short climb to Villafranca where you can explore the picturesque town square and its collection of monuments. Afterwards, make a final push to the top of the mountain and the small village of O’Cebreiro. The views of the surrounding valleys are truly beautiful.        

Day 5  O’Cebreiro to Sarria        
You will be transferred to the top of O'Cebreiro mountain to enjoy the amazing scenery before descending down into woods and mountains, with a chance to stop at an ancient Middle Age monastery still inhabited by monks.    

Day 6  Sarria to Palas de Rei      
Cycle along narrow roads in arguably one of the most beautiful sections of the Camino enjoying passing woodland and greenery before arriving into Palas de Rei, a small town full of pilgrim spirit.      

Day 7  Palas de Rei to Santiago de Compostela    
The final day of cycling includes a number of short ascents and descents through the Galician countryside. Eventually you’ll reach Monte de Gozo, from where you’ll follow the narrow city streets to Plaza del Obradoiro. This marks journey’s end for hundreds of thousands of pilgrims over the years. Take some time to admire the spectacular cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.          

Day 8  Santiago de Compostela      
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
