Itinerary
Day 1 Oslo
Norway’s vibrant capital is a fascinating mix of old and new. On arrival take the train to your hotel before setting off to explore Kvadraturen, the compact city centre. Wander the cobbled streets and pretty squares, getting acquainted with some of the city’s oldest buildings. This afternoon visit Akershus Castle, an imposing medieval fortress overlooking the harbour.
Day 2 Oslo
Today, take yourself on a gastronomical adventure by visiting the city’s bustling food courts. Start with Mathallen Food Hall where you will experience the best homegrown produce and finish the day at Vippa for some fresh seafood on the very edge of Oslofjord.
Day 3 Oslo
Begin your day with a visit to Frogner Park to explore the fascinating sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. Here 200 pieces of artwork display the human form, from young to old, with an abstract look at human life. Later, join a relaxing fjord cruise and immerse yourselves in the spectacular scenery, or perhaps learn about Norway’s most mythicized legacy at the Viking Ship Museum.
Day 4 Oslo
Take a walk through the city and pay a visit to the Norwegian National Opera House. This unique building is a fascinating feat of design. Walk across the sloping roof and enjoy panoramic views of the city and fjords. Later, take the train back to the airport for your onward flight.
