Itinerary
Day 1 Malta
Arrive into Malta and transfer to your hotel. Your afternoon is free to admire the Baroque architecture scattered across the island.
Days 2-4 Malta
Spend the next three days exploring this glorious island at your own pace. There is plenty of time to explore the island’s wealth of history, prehistoric sites and fascinating museums. St John’s Co-Cathedral dates back to the 16th Century and is adorned with artistic masterpieces and features an intricate Baroque interior. Explore further to find the Hypogeum, a labyrinth of underground chambers, megalithic monuments, and remains of Roman villas. Take a traditional dghajsa (water taxi) across Valletta’s Grand Harbour, before enjoying some time relaxing at one of the many sheltered bays with their red-gold beaches and distinctly clear waters.
Day 5 Malta to Gozo
This morning, hop aboard the ferry to Gozo and enjoy the short but scenic journey to Malta’s neighbouring island.
Days 6-7 Gozo
The next two days are yours to discover Gozo. Renowned for a more relaxed pace of life, delight in the delicious authentic cuisine, an enticing mix of Sicilian and Middle Eastern flavours, whilst admiring the unrivalled views from one of the many local restaurants. The Ggantija Temples, older than the pyramids of Egypt, are a must see, or if you are feeling active, clifftop hiking, kayaking and boat trips are popular. Alternatively, a sun-drenched beach won’t be hard to find! Perhaps take a day trip to the island of Comino to snorkel the azure waters of the Blue Lagoon, one of the most spectacular sights on the Maltese islands.
Day 8 Gozo to Malta
This morning, enjoy one final seaside breakfast before you make the quick ferry trip back to Malta and head onward to the airport for your flight home.
