Itinerary
Day 1 Reykjavik
Arrive into Iceland and make your way to your hotel in downtown Reykjavik. Compact yet full of soul, Reykjavik has a vibrant nightlife and burgeoning, creative food scene. Perhaps head to the top of the iconic Hallgrimskirkja Church, for panoramic views of the city and mountains beyond.
Day 2 Golden Circle
Today explore the geological wonders of the Golden Circle on a thrilling guided day tour. Visit Thingvellir National Park to see where the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia are slowly pulling apart. See the incredible geothermal area of Haukadalur, home to geysers, hot springs, steam vents and eerie blue algae. Stop off at the thundering Gullfoss Falls and see rainbows reflected in the spray.
Day 3 Lava Caving
Experience the fascinating volcanic landscape from below on a guided lava tunnel tour. Walk through caves formed by molten magma and view the spectacular multi-coloured rock formations in the walls and ceiling around you.
Day 4 Blue Lagoon
After a leisurely breakfast, head to the Blue Lagoon, Iceland’s best known geothermal attraction. Relax in the superheated milky-blue spa waters, experience the revitalising powers of silica and algae at the Silica Mask Bar. When you’re ready, make your way to the airport for your onward flight.
