Itinerary
Day 1 Reykjavik
Arrive in Iceland and make your way to Reykjavik where you’ll meet your fellow travellers and tour leader this evening.
Day 2 Reykjavik to Akureyri
Today you’ll enjoy the otherworldly scenery of Iceland’s famed Ring Road. Circling the entire island, this is one of the world’s most spectacular roads. Arriving in Akureyri, Iceland’s second largest city, there’s time in the afternoon to wander around this picturesque town.
Day 3 Akureyri to Borgarfjordur
An action packed day awaits as you make your way to the eastern fjords for a night at Borgarfjordur. En route, stop at Godafoss Waterfall for stunning views before reaching Lake Myvatn, home to a variety of birdlife. Explore the nearby lava fields and the mud pools of Namaskard before this spectacular day comes to its conclusion.
Day 4 Borgarfjordur to Hofn
Follow the coastal road around the majestic eastern fjords. En route, you may catch a glimpse of Vatnajokull Glacier, the largest ice cap in Europe. Hofn is a small harbour town and is the lobster capital of Iceland. It’s well worth trying some of the local produce while you’re here.
Day 5 Hofn to Vik
The day begins with a visit to the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon where you might spot sunbathing seals. You may wish to take an optional boat ride around the lagoon to get closer to the floating icebergs. Afterwards, visit Skaftafell National Park, a beautiful area about halfway between Hofn and Vik. Arrive in tiny Vik this evening.
Day 6 Vik to Reykjavik
The black sand and rock formations of Reynisfjara Beach is up first this morning. Leaving the beach behind, continue along the Ring Road to Seljalandsfoss Waterfall which allows visitors the chance to go behind the falling water. Later, visit Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir Hot Springs and Thingvellir National Park; the three sights making up the must-see Golden Circle. Arrive in Reykjavik in the early evening.

Your tour ends this morning.
