Day 1 Budapest
Arrive in Budapest and transfer to your hotel. Later, join your tour director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner in a local restaurant to taste some traditional Hungarian food and wine.
Day 2 Budapest
Explore the medieval cobblestone streets of the Castle District with your local expert. Visit a strudel house to see pastry chefs at work making this delicacy before having a taste yourself with a cup of coffee. The rest of the day is free to explore at leisure. Why not take a dinner cruise along the River Danube this evening?
Day 3 Budapest
The day is free to explore this medieval city at your own pace. Perhaps visit a thermal bath or spend time browsing the boutiques of Vaci Street, before enjoying dinner in a local restaurant this evening.
Day 4 Budapest to Vienna
Travel along the Danube to the picturesque city of Esztergom to see the largest catholic church in Hungary, before heading west to the pretty town of Gyor. Continue over the border to Vienna in time for dinner in the home of a local.
Day 5 Vienna
Much of Vienna’s present day charm is due to the long reign of the Habsburgs. Join a local expert for a private visit of Maria Theresa’s Schonbrunn Palace and formal gardens. Spend the rest of the day exploring the cities other highlights around the famous Ring Road including the Opera House, the magnificent Hofburg Imperial Residence and the Parliament Building.
Day 6 Vienna
Discover the regal grandeur of Vienna at leisure. Why not visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral, one of Europe's great Gothic structures and later spend the night at the theatre attending the opera or simply enjoy a drink in a local tavern.
Day 7 Vienna to Prague
Cross the Czech border and continue to picturesque Cesky Krumlov. Enjoy an orientation tour of the town before some free time to explore this fairy tale vision from the Middle Ages. In the afternoon, continue through the green Bohemian countryside to Prague.

Opt to walk the courtyards of the 1,000 year old Prague Castle or perhaps join a local expert as they take you for a stroll through the Jewish Quarter hearing the tales about how the Jewish community shaped the history of Prague. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Perhaps take a river cruise through the heart of the city or walk the Royal Route and trace the footsteps of the kings of old.
