Itinerary
Days 1-3 Athens
Spend a few days exploring historic Athens. Stop by the awe-inspiring Acropolis. Dating back 2,500 years and visible from almost everywhere within the city, the incredible marble monuments are sure to impress. Continue onto the charming Plaka district, boasting narrow laneways of small enthralling museums, ancient sights and historic churches. Enjoy a gentle stroll through the National Gardens, tucked away in the heart of Athens, the gardens provide a peaceful retreat from the bustling city.
Days 4-8 Spetses
Take the ferry from Athens to Spetses admiring the views of the Saronic Gulf along the way. “The Island of Perfumes”, as it was named by the Venetians due to its fragrant pine trees is a beautiful, car-free island with numerous wonderful sandy beaches and lovely secluded bays. Spend the next few days getting to know the island’s hidden coves and rich heritage, exploring the island the traditional way, by horse and carriage. Stay in the elegant Poseidonion Grand Hotel, a majestic historic hotel on Spetses’ waterfront. When you’re not out exploring the island, enjoy lazy days by the pool or catch a film at the open-air cinema.
Day 9 Athens
Take the ferry back to Athens and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
