Itinerary

Day 1  Tallinn
Arrive into Tallinn and make your way to your hotel. Set off into the snowy streets of Tallinn’s UNESCO World Heritage listed Old Town in search of a traditional Estonian Christmas meal accompanied by a warm cup of glögi, a spiced mulled wine.

Day 2  Tallinn
Spend time this morning exploring the well-preserved streets and city walls of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Old Town. These charming streets are home to hundreds of years of history which can be best shown through its striking architecture, towers and courtyards filled with cosy cafés and shops. Make your way to the Town Hall Square, the heartbeat of this compact city. Transformed for the festive period, the first Christmas tree was erected back in the mid-15th Century and today this tradition continues with an imposing tree at the square’s centre decorated in sparking festive lights. Here you will find Tallinn’s renowned Christmas market, decked with wooden stalls selling a variety of handicrafts and sweets treats. Spend your time stocking up on gifts, sampling local delicacies and warming up with delicious hot Christmas drinks.

Day 3  Tallinn
In addition to Tallinn’s Christmas markets, there is plenty of attractions to visit. Perhaps pay a visit to the Kohtuotsa viewing platform atop Toompea hill to see the iconic red roofs and towering spires of the city dusted in snow. There is a variety of museums on offer including Estonian Art Museum or perhaps tuck into delicious local cuisine at the Balti Jaama Turg market. Visit the imposing Alexander Nevsky Cathedral or head outside of the city to the Tallinn TV Tower for aerial views of the city and beyond.

Day 4  Tallinn
Enjoy a final morning in Tallinn before heading back to the airport for your onward flight.
