Itinerary

Day 1  Copenhagen, Denmark
Arrive into Copenhagen and transfer to your hotel. Later, enjoy a wonderful welcome dinner with your fellow travellers and Travel Director.

Day 2  Copenhagen
Meet Hans Christian Andersen’s Little Mermaid and visit the spectacular palaces and cathedrals of Copenhagen. Visit Europe’s oldest functioning observatory, Rundertaarn, before an afternoon at leisure.

Day 3  Copenhagen to Gothenburg, Sweden
Continue along Sweden’s west coast to the cosmopolitan port city of Gothenburg and spend the afternoon exploring the city.

Day 4  Gothenburg to Stockholm
Admire fertile farmlands, as you journey along the shores of Vattern to the Swedish capital.

Day 5  Stockholm
Enjoy an orientation tour of the city, wander the medieval streets of Gamla Stan and see the 13th Century cathedral, before visiting the imposing Golden Hall with walls covered by 25 million gilded mosaic tiles.

Day 6  Stockholm to Falun
Travel to Uppsala and learn about the Carl Linnaeus Gardens before continuing on to Falun.

Day 7  Falun to Lillehammer, Norway
Embark on a scenic drive along the shores of Lake Siljan. Later cross the border into Norway and pass Hamar with its Olympic ice skating rink which resembles an upturned Viking ship. Continue on to Lillehammer, home of the 1994 Winter Olympics.

Days 8-9  Lillehammer to Geiranger
Head along winding roads that pass waterfalls, icefields, lakes and snow-capped peaks. Day 9 is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Day 10  Geiranger to Leikanger
After a relaxed start, embark on an incredible cruise on the waters of Geirangerfjord. Head to the imposing Boya Glacier to soak up the views, before visiting the nearby Fjaerland Glacier Museum.

Day 11  Leikanger to Bergen
Cross the serene waters of Sognefjord, the world’s longest fjord and embark on a spectacular journey on the Flam Railway. Walk through the orchard of a family-run farm to learn how eight generations have produced fruits and cakes and sample the delights.

Day 12  Bergen
A local expert introduces you to the ancient Hanseatic port of Bergen and its lively fish market. Perhaps visit the home of composer Edward Grieg or ascend Mount Floyen by the funicular railway this afternoon.  

Day 13  Bergen to Oslo
Cross the scenic Norwegian mountains on your way to Oslo, Norway’s capital.

Day 14  Oslo
Admire the Royal Palace as well as Akershus Castle and take in the strikingly modern architecture of the Bjorvika neighbourhood. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.

Day 15  Oslo
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
