Itinerary

Day 1 Copenhagen, Denmark      
Arrive into Copenhagen, Denmark’s eco-friendly capital. This compact city is easily explored by foot, bicycle and ferry. This afternoon take a walk through the old town to Tivoli Gardens, set in the heart of the city, the park is the country’s oldest theme park. Later make your way to iconic Nyhavn harbour with its famous painted houses and lively restaurants and bars.        

Day 2 Copenhagen      
Why not start the day with a canal tour? The short tour will introduce you to some of the city’s spectacular bridges and city streets as you cruise through the peaceful waters and narrow passageways. Later head for lunch at Torvehallerne market, the ideal spot to taste the delicious local speciality Smørrebrød, a rye bread open sandwich with various fish, meat and vegetarian toppings.        

Day 3 Copenhagen to Stockholm, Sweden      
Head to the airport for your short flight to Stockholm, the elegant city named ‘Beauty on Water’, is made up of 14 islands and home to an array of world class museums and art galleries. Why not spend the afternoon at the 17th Century Drottningholm Royal Palace? Just a 40 minute train ride out of the city, the grand residence offers a glimpse into royal life of the past and a wealth of gorgeous gardens to explore.        

Day 4 Stockholm      
Start today exploring the historic city centre at Gamla Stan, home to cobbled streets, gothic architecture and the beautiful Stortorget Square. This afternoon you could wandering the halls of one of the city’s impressive museums. The Abba Museum holds wonders for music lovers and for history buffs, no Scandinavian adventure would be complete without a stop at the Viking museum.      

Day 5 Stockholm to Helsinki, Finland    
A short flight brings you into the Finnish capital of Helsinki. Make your way to your hotel for check in before visiting impressive contemporary structures of the Oodi library, with its glass roofed top floor and unique Lasipalatsi Square, where unique modern design blends art with a wonderful community space.      

Day 6 Helsinki      
Today take a ferry into the archipelago to soak up Helsinki’s fascinating military history with a visit to the extraordinary 18th Century Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress. This unique spectacle of military architecture is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located on an island, just 20 minutes from the city. Later, marvel at the imposing Cathedral and the surrounding Senate Square.      

Day 7 Helsinki      
Enjoy a final morning wandering through the city, maybe with a stop for coffee and a cinnamon bun before taking the train to the airport in time for your onward flight.
