South Korea Highlights

Day 1  Seoul
Arrive in the eccentric capital of Seoul and get to know this captivating Asian metropolis. Watch as ancient traditions effortlessly fuse with modern innovation before joining your fellow travellers for a welcome meeting.

Day 2  Seoul
Venture out to the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ)to learn how the peninsula has been divided since the devasting Korean War. From the South Korean side of the DMZ visit the points of interest including the Third Tunnel of Aggression and the Unification Bridge.

Day 3  Seoul to Sokcho
This morning make the journey east to the coastal city of Sokcho. Arrive in the dazzlingcity in time for lunch at a local restaurant, then explore the daily lives of locals with a trip to the Sokcho Central Market.  The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Day 4  Sokcho
Today you’ll head out to Seoraksan National Park and witness South Korea’s ethereal wonders of nature. Hike to see the stunning views from the mighty Seoraksan mountain. Then, spend the afternoon in the small island village of Abai where you can choose to take part in a cooking class.

Day 5  Sokcho to Andong
Drive to the charming village of Andong and admire the traditional houses as you stroll the area. Marvel at the authentic hanok houses dotted about Buyongdae Hill, this pretty village will be your home for tonight.

Day 6  Andong to Busan
Bid your host family farewell and journey onwards to Busan. Gamcheon Culture Village provides the ideal introduction to the city, with vibrant houses, a rich history and mountainous scenery. Enjoy the afternoon here before visiting stunning Haedong Temple.

Day 7  Busan
Learn about South Korea’s innovative agriculture at a local Smart Farm, before walking along the shore of Ikidae where you’ll have a delightful lunch. Later, visit the Haenyeo community and hear from a retired Haenyeo diver as she shares tales of her days diving into the sea to collect clams, sea urchins and oysters.

Day 8  Busan to Seoul
Board the KTX Bullet Train for a smooth and speedy journey back to Seoul.  The afternoon is yours to do as you wish. Why not visit a museum or go shopping in the Dongdaemun District? Meet up with your fellow travellers for your final evening and enjoy a buffet barbecue dinner.  

Day 9  Seoul
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast. Depart at any time for your onward travel.
