Itinerary
Day 1 Tokyo
Upon arrival you will be welcomed and guided to the train or bus.
Day 2 Tokyo
Meet your private guide and hop on the metro for a full day discovering the city’s highlights. Start by visiting the famous Meiji Jingu Shrine, then stroll through the high fashion shopping area of Omotesando, commonly referred to as Tokyo’s ChampsÉlysées. Wander through nearby Harajuku for a fashion fix before heading to Asakusa, part of the old town, to visit the colourful Sensoji Temple.
Day 3 Tokyo to Fuji Hakone NP
Take an early train to the mountain scenery and lakes of this volcanic area famous for its hot springs and the chance, on a clear day, to catch glimpses of Mount Fuji. Ride the cable car up Mount Owakudani or take a boat trip across Lake Ashinoko. Stay overnight in a ryokan and enjoy a traditional kaiseki dinner.
Day 4 Fuji Hakone NP to Tokyo
Enjoy a dip in your ryokan’s onsen before returning to Tokyo.
Day 5 Tokyo
Transfer back to the airport.
Additional Options: This stopover package is based on staying at the 3★ Gracery Shinjuku. Should you wish to upgrade your hotel, the 4★ Park Hotel Tokyo or 5★ The Capitol Hotel Tokyu are fantastic options (ask your travel consultant for more hotel options).
