- Guide, lunch, Mochi rice-cake making
On this tour (max 10 people) visit local rural villages and learn about the traditional farming techniques which are still carried out using century-old traditions. Catch the train to Ogoto-onsen station (approx. 20 mins) north of Kyoto and meet your guide. Wander around the town and meet local farmers to learn about their harvesting techniques. After, try your hand at preparing traditional mochi rice cakes, round buns made from soft and chewy rice. Enjoy a casual lunch at the home of the farmers before returning to the station to catch your train back to Kyoto.
