Itinerary
Days 1-3 Beijing
Arrive in bustling Beijing. Explore this colourful city including the ancient sites of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. On day 3, take a stroll along the Great Wall of China.
Day 4 Beijing to Xian
Board a high speed train to Xian and discover this fascinating city. Explore on a walking tour, visiting the Muslim Quarter and the city walls.
Day 5 Xian
Visit the famous Terracotta Warriors, one of the man-made wonders of the world. Learn about this archaeological find of over 7,000 clay statues that had been buried for over 2,000 years.
Days 6-7 Xian to Chengdu
Take a bullet train to Chengdu and enjoy a walking tour of this lively city. Renowned for its spicy Sichuan food, Chengdu is one of the best foodie spots in all of China. The next day, visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base for a memorable morning seeing these amazing animals up close.
Day 8 Chengdu to Emei Shan
Travel by bus to Leshan for a chance to see the world’s largest outdoor seated Buddha, before continuing to Emei Shan.
Days 9-10 Emei Shan
A cable car whisks you to the summit of Emei Shan to enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, before descending to start a three hour trek to the atmospheric monastery guesthouse. Day 10 is at your leisure.
Day 11 Emei Shan to Yichang
Travel by bus and train to the gateway of the Yangtze River and board a Yangtze River cruise.
Days 12-14 Yangtze River
Cruise Soak up the dramatic gorge views as you cruise down the Yangtze River on a simple boat.
Day 15 Chongqing to Yangshuo
Disembark your cruise in Chongqing and take a private bus to the train station to board the bullet train to Yangshuo. Take the time to soak up the beautiful landscapes of this little town.
Day 16 Yangshuo
Jump on a bike and gain an insight into rural Chinese life while exploring this stunning region.
Days 17-18 Yangshuo to Hong Kong
A day at leisure to relax or enjoy a boat cruise on the Li River. On day 18, board a metro train to West Kowloon station in Hong Kong. Cross the border and continue into the heart of the city. Enjoy a final evening with your fellow travellers.
Day 19 Hong Kong
Say goodbye to your new friends as your tour comes to an end.
