Itinerary

Day 1  Victoria              
Arrive in Victoria and transfer to your hotel before enjoying a welcome reception with your tour director and fellow travellers.

Day 2  Victoria          
Take a tour of Victoria before visiting the famous floral displays at the lush Butchart Gardens which have delighted visitors for over 100 years. Afterwards, perhaps enjoy an optional whalewatching cruise or a horse drawn carriage tour.  

Day 3  Victoria to Whistler              
Start the day with a drive to Chemainus before crossing the scenic Georgia Strait to Horseshoe Bay. Travel onwards along the winding Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler, where there’s a chance to break the journey with a stop at the cascading Shannon Falls before an indigenous inspired dinner.

Day 4  Whistler            
A day at leisure to take in the fantastic views and wander this alpine village. Perhaps embark on a 4WD Mountain Adventure, a ride between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola or try an adventurous zip trek excursion.

Day 5  Whistler to Blue River        
Sit back and enjoy the views of the rugged Cariboo Region as you head to Blue River for an overnight escape at the rustic Mike Wiegele Heli Village. Spend the evening relaxing by the water.

Day 6  Blue River to Jasper          
After breakfast, set off on a thrilling river safari in Grizzly Bear Valley. Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife including bears, eagles and giant moose. Later, follow the famous Yellowhead Highway past the imposing Mount Robson on your way to Jasper National Park.

Day 7  Jasper            
Explore this charming mountain town at leisure, with an array of local tours available. Perhaps enhance your journey with an optional Harley Davidson Sidecar Tour, an evening wildlife experience or take in the memorable Athabasca Valley views from the top of the Jasper SkyTram. In the evening, enjoy an Insider Experience barbecue dinner at the Jasper Stables.

Day 8  Jasper to Lake Louise      
A day of real highlights awaits as you visit the deep rocky caverns of Maligne Canyon. Later, travel along the spectacular Icefields Parkway, watching for bears before stopping to ride the Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier. Continue to spectacular Lake Louise for a stay at the famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Day 9  Lake Louise to Banff              
Travel to Banff via Moraine Lake (weather permitting) for a sightseeing tour.

Day 10  Banff            
Explore Banff at leisure. Perhaps enjoy an optional excursion including a heli-flightseeing tour, a Banff Experience Tour or a Bow River float trip.

Day 11  Banff to Kamloops (Rocky Mountaineer – SilverLeaf)          
Board the famous Rocky Mountaineer in SilverLeaf Service and travel to Kamloops through the Spiral Tunnels and past Stoney Creek Bridge. Sit back, relax and watch the scenery go by on this iconic rail journey. Day 12  Kamloops to Vancouver (Rocky Mountaineer – SilverLeaf)          
Continue to Vancouver along the winding Thompson River, passing the arid Fraser Valley, thunderous Hell’s Gate and the Coast and Cascade Mountains.

Day 13  Vancouver              
After enjoying breakfast, watch the resident Grizzlies at Grouse Mountain Bear Refuge. Later take in a sightseeing tour of Vancouver including the waterfront, historic Gastown and Stanley Park. In the evening, enjoy a special farewell dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day 14  Inside Passage Cruising – Holland America Line Cruise
(Optional cruise extension begins). Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight home or alternatively board a Holland America Line cruise ship and settle into your Inside Stateroom.

Day 15  Inside Passage Cruising              
Enjoy a day at sea as your ship navigates its way past rocky headlands and dramatic cliff faces. Keep an eye out for humpback whales and orcas as you glide through stunning scenery.

Day 16  Juneau            
Sail into Juneau which has been Alaska’s capital since 1906. Spend some time taking in the diverse terrain or perhaps make your way to the town and explore the rustic shops located here.

Day 17  Skagway          
Reach the northernmost point of the Inside Passage at Skagway, the gateway to the Klondike gold rush of 1898. Take some time to explore this fascinating frontier town.

Day 18  Glacier Bay NP            
Awake to the breathtaking sight of Glacier Bay National Park with its striking rivers of ice and glittering icebergs.

Day 19  Ketchikan            
Arrive into Ketchikan, known as the salmon capital of the world. You might like to join a walking tour of the town or learn about Tlingit Indian culture at the Saxman Native Village.

Day 20  Inside Passage Cruising            
Spend a final day cruising south through the spectacular landscape of the Inside Passage.

Day 21 Vancouver              
Your cruise ends in Vancouver. Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your overnight flight home.
