Itinerary
Day 1 Halifax
Arrive in Halifax and transfer to your downtown hotel for a welcome meeting with your fellow travellers and Travel Director.
Days 2-3 Halifax
Delve into Halifax’s nautical history at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. On day 3, travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, before visiting Peggy’s Cove, a small rural community and the site of the iconic Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse.
Day 4 Halifax to Baddeck
Today you will travel to Cape Breton Island and embark on a picturesque boat cruise across Bras d’Or Lake.
Day 5 Baddeck
This morning, visit the Gaelic College to watch a kilt making demonstration and learn a few handy Gaelic phrases. Later, enjoy a relaxing drive along the rugged Cabot Trail, with views across dramatic cliffs and charming coastal villages.
Day 6 Baddeck to Charlottetown
After an insightful visit to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, ferry across the Northumberland Strait to Prince Edward Island and quaint Charlottetown. Later, discover this nautical town’s colourful fisherman’s cottages and pretty harbour.
Days 7-8 Charlottetown
Discover unspoilt Prince Edward Island and head to Cavendish where you’ll visit the famous Green Gables House before enjoying an afternoon at leisure in Charlottetown. On day 8, journey to the quaint seaside fishing village of Georgetown to visit the picturesque lighthouse and devour a delicious seafood lunch before exploring the area.
Day 9 Charlottetown to Moncton
Head to New Brunswick to get up close and personal with the marine life of the Northumberland Strait. Continue on to Hopewell Rocks and experience the true taste of the maritimes with an Acadian
lobster boil and cocktail class.
Days 10-11 Moncton to Digby
Travel along the Fundy Trail Parkway from Moncton to Digby, admiring stunning coastal views on the way. On day 11, enjoy a whale watching cruise on the Bay of Fundy before exploring the historic town of Annapolis Royal.
Day 12 Digby to Halifax
Bid farewell to your fellow travellers as your trip comes to an end.
