Itinerary
Day 1 Calgary
Arrive in the gateway to the Canadian Rockies. Take in far reaching views from Calgary Tower or why not browse authentic Western attire and learn how it’s made at the Alberta Boot Company?
Day 2 Calgary to Banff
Collect your car and head to Banff. As you leave the city behind take in the breathtaking landscape of the approaching mountains.
Days 3-4 Banff
The charming town of Banff boasts outdoor adventures, dramatic scenery and relaxing hot springs. Enjoy panoramic views from Sulphur Mountain at the top of the Banff Gondola and cruise serene Lake Minnewanka by boat, included in your Ultimate Rockies Explorer Ticket.
Day 5 Lake Louise
Your next stop is the incomparable Lake Louise. Renowned for its idyllic beauty, spend the afternoon enjoying all the lake has to offer, whether that be hiking the surrounding trails or indulging in afternoon tea at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
Day 6 Lake Louise to Jasper
Journey through the mountains on the spectacular icefields Parkway. Dedicate a day to this drive as every corner provides a new viewpoint. Step onto the Athabasca Glacier as you venture out in an Ice Explorer on your included Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure tour, before dropping your car off on arrival in Jasper this evening.
Day 7 Jasper
Discover this beautiful mountain town in the heart of Jasper National Park. An outdoor playground with hiking trails galore, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for resident wildlife!
Day 8 Jasper to Kamloops
Board the famous Rocky Mountaineer for the start of the Journey Through the Clouds route. Admire shimmering lakes and stunning waterfalls as your knowledgeable host provides the ultimate level of service and storytelling, before spending the night in a simple hotel in Kamloops.
Day 9 Kamloops to Vancouver
Continue your journey on the Rocky Mountaineer, passing roaring river canyons through grand valleys as you make your way to the coast and arrive in Vancouver.
Day 10 Vancouver
This oceanfront city perfectly blends urban architecture and snow-capped mountains. Enjoy a tour of Vancouver from an experienced guide before crossing the Capilano Suspension Bridge, perched high above the forest floor.
Day 11 Vancouver to Tweedsmuir Park Lodge
Take a short flight from Vancouver to Bella Coola before transferring by road to Tweedsmuir Park Lodge. Enjoy a warm welcome and an orientation of the lodge, as well as an introduction to the range of activities on offer during your stay. Tuck into a delicious, locally sourced meal in the evening before retiring to your comfy timber-framed chalet.
Days 12-13 Tweedsmuir Park Lodge
Over the next two days enjoy an abundance of activities designed to showcase the flora, fauna and ecology of the area’s unique rainforest and the spectacular surrounding scenery. Take a trip aboard a drift boat or enjoy a leisurely hike led by an experienced local guide. You may see eagles soaring overhead or spot salmon swimming in the clear waters. Whilst relaxing at the lodge take advantage of the on-site activities such as croquet, archery, frisbee-golf or simply enjoy a dip in the hot tub.
Day 14 Tweedsmuir Park Lodge to Vancouver
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Vancouver.
Day 15 Vancouver
Spend a final morning exploring this beautiful city. Perhaps take a walk through Stanley Park or visit the trendy Gastown district, before heading to the airport for your onward flight.
