Head west into the Rockies for a walk along the scenic Lake Agnes trail, taking in views of Victoria Glacier. Enjoy refreshments at the rustic Lake Agnes teahouse before descending to your campsite.
Day 3 Lake Louise
Transfer to Moraine Lake to hike the Larch Valley. Climb to Sentinel Pass for magnificent views of Banff National Park backcountry and keep your eyes peeled for elk, porcupine and bears.
Day 4 Lake Louise to Jasper
Continue to Jasper National Park and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife such as black bears. Drive through the stunning Icefields Parkway and hike the Parker Ridge trail for incredible views and the chance to see the Saskatchewan Glacier. Tonight, camp underneath the watchful gaze of Jasper’s rugged peaks.
Day 5-6 Jasper NP
Journey to Jasper National Park and hike the Parker Ridge trail. Climb quickly until you’re above the treeline for incredible views of the valley below. Tonight, set up camp underneath the watchful gaze of Jasper’s rugged peaks for the next three nights.
Day 7 Jasper NP to Landslide Lake
Today hike the Cavell Meadows trail. Jasper is often quieter than other national parks allowing you to really take in the scenery. On day seven hike the Sulphur Skyline trail for breathtaking panoramas overlooking a rugged section of the Canadian Rockies before finishing the day with a soak in Miette Hot Springs to ease aching muscles.
Day 8-9 Landslide Lake
Today join a short helicopter flight to Landslide Lake and set up camp for three nights in a wilderness with few other travellers.
Days 9-10 Landslide Lake
Spend two days exploring the area. There’s many options available ranging from steady walks through alpine meadows to more strenuous ridge hikes. This region is ungoverned by national parks so there are no official trails but plenty of opportunities to enjoy the scenery.
Day 11 Banff NP
Today join the trail up to the Cory Pass, behind Mount Edith and above the treeline. There’s several excellent photo opportunities as you catch your breath before descending through scree fields and the forest between Mount Norquay and Mount Edith.
Day 12 Banff NP to Calgary
There’s time to hit the trails one last time as you hike the Cascade Amphitheatre trail. Begin at Mount Norquay, cross over Forty Mile Creek, then traverse through dense forest. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for wildflowers as you emerge into the amphitheatre, enclosed by limestone cliffs. Afterwards travel to Calgary where your tour concludes.
