Itinerary

Day 1  Calgary    
Arrive in Calgary and spend an evening exploring Alberta’s cosmopolitan gateway. For a great choice of local eateries, head across the Bow River to trendy Kensington.    

Day 2  Calgary    
Take in far reaching views from Calgary Tower or why not learn about the history of the world-famous Calgary Stampede rodeo, held every July, at the immersive Sam Centre.  

Day 3  Calgary to Drumheller  
Pick up your car and drive through the Canadian Badlands to Drumheller, known as the ‘Dinosaur Capital of the World’. Horseshoe Canyon offers an excellent hiking stop on route.    

Day 4  Drumheller      
Visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum, home to one of the world’s largest displays of dinosaur fossils or climb up 106 stairs inside ‘The World’s Largest Dinosaur’, showcasing incredible views of the Badlands.    

Day 5  Drumheller to Dinosaur Provincial Park  
Continue to Dinosaur Provincial Park, an otherworldly landscape home to the largest deposit of dinosaur fossils in the world.    

Day 6  Dinosaur Provincial Park  
Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering a unique discovery around every turn. Explore the area and be amazed by the beautiful scenery and unusual wildlife.    

Day 7  Dinosaur Provincial Park to Waterton Lakes NP
Journey to Alberta’s Southern Rockies and Waterton Lakes National Park, boasting minimal crowds alongside breathtaking mountain scenery.    

Days 8-9  Waterton Lakes NP  
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the national park’s glistening lakes, towering peaks and verdant forests. Considered a hidden jewel of the Rockies, enjoy a day hike on one of the many trails, take a dip in the tranquil lakes or simply admire the sweeping vistas.    

Day 10  Waterton Lakes NP to Invermere    
Cross into British Columbia and enjoy a beautiful drive through Kootenay National Park to Invermere. Why not stop at the rejuvenating waters of the Radium or Fairmont Hot Springs for a relaxing soak.  

Day 11  Invermere to Golden    
Drive north to Golden, home of the epic Golden Skybridge. Explore 2 miles of surrounding trails and admire mesmerising views from two of Canada’s highest suspension bridges.    

Day 12  Golden to Canmore    
Wake early and head back into Alberta for an action-packed journey through the Rockies. Stop at the Lake Louise Ski Resort & Sightseeing Gondola and join the Park & Ride service to the shores of Lake Louise, an unmissable Canadian experience. Later, drive into the mountain town of Banff and take a shuttle to the Banff Gondola for incomparable views atop Sulphur Mountain, before continuing to picturesque Canmore.    

Days 13-14  Canmore    
Located in the Canadian Rockies, the charming town of Canmore is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream, offering an abundance of activities and fantastic wildlife spotting opportunities. While in Canmore enjoy a few hours with an expert guide learning about the local fauna and discovering the best viewing spots.    

Day 15  Canmore    
A final journey takes you back to Calgary for your onward flight.
