Itinerary

Day 1  Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage and make your own way to your hotel to join a welcome meeting.

Day 2  Anchorage to Denali NP
Leave the city behind and try a local delicacy of reindeer sausage in historic Talkeetna. This afternoon, enjoy a sled dog demonstration and learn how the park rangers train and work with the Alaskan Huskies.

Day 3  Denali NP
Spend the day exploring beautiful Denali National Park. Stay on the lookout for Alaska’s Big 5, caribou, Dall sheep, moose, bear, and wolves. Perfect for hikers, there are plenty of trails and walks available.

Day 4  Denali NP
Home to the highest mountain in North America, there’s a number of hiking opportunities to enjoy within the park today, or perhaps choose to join an optional white water rafting excursion.

Day 5  Denali NP to Seward
Today, leave Denali and enjoy rolling view of the stunning Alaskan scenery as you transfer to Seward. Depart the Alaska Range and travel on the Kenai Peninsula, before heading to the small fishing town of Seward.

Day 6  Seward
Set off on a full day wildlife viewing cruise around Resurrection Bay, Kenai Fjords National Park, and the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge. Look for Steller sea lions, harbour seals, sea otters, orcas, and an abundance of seabirds.

Day 7  Seward
Enjoy a day bird-watching amidst the dramatic fjords and glaciers in the staggeringly beautiful Kenai Fjords National Park. Weather permitting, take a walk along the spectacular Exit Glacier to the Harding Icefield for views of deep crevasses and huge seracs.

Day 8  Seward to Cooper Landing
Embark on a hike through the Chugah National Forest, before travelling to Cooper Landing, the heart of the Kenai Peninsula. Enjoy another scenic hike to Russian River Falls, before heading out on a river safari this afternoon for more wildlife spotting opportunities! Keep your eyes peeled for moose, eagles, beavers and of course bears.

Day 9  Cooper Landing
Explore Cooper Landing at your own pace today. This area is best known for its world-famous fishing, so perhaps give it a go yourself or take a hike to beautiful Cresent Lake.
