Itinerary
Days 1-3 Perth
Set on the banks of the picturesque Swan River and surrounded by white sand beaches and scenic parklands, the sunny city of Perth is best enjoyed outside. Take a stroll along the bushland trails of beautiful Kings Park, explore Fremantle’s bustling Central Markets or catch a game of ‘Aussie Rules’ at the Optus Stadium.
Days 4-5 Perth to Rottnest Island
Catch the short ferry to charming Rottnest Island to discover unspoilt beaches, rolling dunes and hidden coves. Here, stay overnight in a modern beachside glamping tent and spend lazy days cycling around this picturesque nature reserve where cars are banished and marsupials rule the road.
Days 6-7 Rottnest Island to Margaret River Region
Head back to the mainland to pick up your car and drive south to the Margaret River Region, stopping in Busselton en route to walk along its famous jetty, over a mile long! Explore the plethora of beaches framing the azure waters and visit boutique breweries and markets to taste local artisanal produce from cheese to chocolate.
Days 8-10 Margaret River Region to Sydney
Return to Perth and board your flight to Sydney, home to some of the world’s most iconic sites including the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Also the gateway to the beautiful Blue Mountains, take a day trip to discover its rugged scenery and abundant wildlife. Back in Sydney, explore the cobblestone streets of The Rocks and dine out at one of the city’s celebrated restaurants.
Days 11-13 Sydney to Port Douglas
Today fly north to Cairns, entry point to Tropical North Queensland and drive to Port Douglas, your base for the next 3 days. Laze under the palms of Four Mile Beach and discover the chic boutiques and cafés of the town. On your second day enjoy sailing on board a luxury catamaran to the beautiful waters of the Low Isles of the Great Barrier Reef. Spend time relaxing on white sand beaches, snorkel straight from the shore across vibrant reefs teeming with life and even spot turtles in their natural habitat.
Days 14-15 Port Douglas to Atherton Tablelands
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the tropical tablelands, traverse scenic walking tracks through the rainforest, spot colourful rainbow lorikeets and parrots or simply relax on the deck of your rustic treehouse.
