Itinerary

Day 1  Perth to Margaret River
Welcome to the Australian west coast! Your adventure starts in Perth, where you’ll meet your fellow travellers and head south towards the laidback town of Busselton. Here you can stretch your legs and stroll along the lovely foreshore before continuing to Margaret River, home for the next two nights. Tonight, enjoy an immersive First Nations cultural experience, gaining insight into the history of the land and its people.

Day 2  Margaret River
Home to some of the best artisanal flavours around, Margaret River has lots on offer for you to taste today. Head off on the more remote regional roads bound for a boutique winery, chocolate factory and cheesery. After a day of indulging, the evening is yours to enjoy how you wish. Perhaps whet your appetite once more and appreciate the town’s lively restaurant and bar scene tonight, from artsy cafes to fine dining establishments.

Day 3  Margaret River to Donnelly River
Get ready for a day of sightseeing! First stop is Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse to learn the fascinating history of the Cape region full of shipwrecks and lighthouse keeper tales. Take a short coastal walk along the Cape to Cape track before passing by Winjee Sam (Canal Rocks) and The Bridge, keeping an eye out for a passing Southern Right or Humpback Whale. Drive to Hamelin Bay in search of local stingrays floating around in the shallow waters. End the day in the town of Donnelly River, where you’ll spend the night in a heritage building, surrounded by kangaroos, emus and possums.

Day 4  Donnelly River to Albany
Head to Walpole-Nornalup National Park, where you’ll spend the morning aboard a wilderness eco cruise. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and other marine life that call these waters home. Once back on dry land, head to Albany and en route visit the impressive Valley of the Giants, embarking on a tree top walk on boardwalks and bridges suspended above the canopy. Explore the forests of the southwest and admire picture postcard views at natural coastal attractions such as Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks.

Day 5  Albany to Perth
After breakfast head out to explore the sights in and around Albany. See The Gap, Natural Bridge in Torndirrup National Park and Frenchmans Bay. In the afternoon, it is time to head back to Perth where your tour comes to an end.
