Itinerary
Day 1 Perth
Arrive in Perth and join your fellow travellers at a welcome meeting this evening. Enjoy dinner together at a restaurant serving modern Australian cuisine using local ingredients.
Day 2 Perth to Margaret River
This morning, head to Margaret River, stopping off at scenic sites en route. Visit beautiful Busselton, home to the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, take a dip at Meelup Beach, and discover Cape Naturaliste. Walk to the lookout point at Sugarloaf Rock and admire the panoramic views before continuing on to Margaret River.
Day 3 Margaret River
Enjoy a slow morning today, perhaps choose to relax at the hotel or take a stroll around the main street of Margaret River to explore the shops. Head to a local winery and opt to get involved with some nougat tasting with your morning coffee. After lunch at the picturesque winery, enjoy chocolate and gin tasting.
Day 4 Margaret River to Fremantle
This morning, drive to Yallingup, a gorgeous hub of limestone caves and beaches. Journey into Ngilgi Cave for a fascinating tour and enjoy a bushwalk with a local Aboriginal guide to learn about traditional plants, foods, and medicines. Afterwards, head into the cave to see a didgeridoo performance before learning about the history and culture of the Wadandi people. Continue on to Fremantle, stopping off at a local cheesery to try some produce en route. Embark on a guided orientation walk when you arrive in Fremantle and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Day 5 Fremantle
Take a scenic boat ride to Rottnest Island, a small nature reserve off the coast, home to the native friendly quokka. Enjoy a guided tour of the island from your leader and spend most of the day at leisure to explore as you choose. Perhaps snorkel around the island, swim in the bays, or relax on the beaches. Head back to Fremantle this afternoon, where your tour comes to an end.
