Itinerary
Day 1 Melbourne to Warrnambool
This morning, meet your tour director and fellow travellers as you begin your journey along one of the world’s greatest road trips, the Great Ocean Road. Enjoy spectacular scenery, quaint seaside towns and visit the famous Twelve Apostles, towering above the Southern Ocean.
Day 2 Warrnambool to Naracoorte
Head to the Tower Hill State Game Reserve, an area with rich aboriginal heritage which your guide will help bring to life as you learn of their connection to the land. Continue to Mount Gambier to visit the mysterious Blue Lake before travelling to the world renowned Coonawarra wine region for some wine tasting.
Day 3 Naracoorte to Kangaroo Island
Journey to the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula before catching the ferry to Kangaroo Island. A true highlight of your tour, Kangaroo Island is famous for its unspoilt natural beauty, fresh local produce and an abundance of unique Australian wildlife. Start your island adventure with a visit to a Kangaroo Island’s only boutique brewery to taste a selection of fine, local beers.
Day 4 Kangaroo Island
Today, further explore Kangaroo Island. Visit spectacular Remarkable Rocks, Admiral’s Arch and enjoy a guided tour of Hanson Wildlife Sanctuary which was badly damaged during the bush fires of 2020 to discover how the wildlife that was saved is adapting to their new environments. Later, join a local ranger at Seal Bay Conservation Park for a guided walk among a colony of sea lions.
Day 5 Kangaroo Island to Adelaide
This morning, board the ferry back to the mainland and onto picturesque Adelaide. Your time in Adelaide is free to explore at your leisure, perhaps dine out at one of the wonderful local restaurants this evening.
Day 6 Barossa Valley
Today, indulge the senses exploring the world famous and beautiful wine region of Barossa Valley. After a stop at charming Hahndorf, continue to the Barossa Valley for an indulgent wine tasting and discover local flavours at the historic South Australian Company Store before travelling back through the rolling hills to Adelaide.
Day 7 Adelaide
After breakfast, bid farewell to your fellow travellers and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
