Itinerary
Day 1 Melbourne
Arrive in Melbourne and transfer to your hotel. This evening, join your tour director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner at a waterfront restaurant.
Day 2 Melbourne
This morning, explore Melbourne’s eclectic laneways, arcades, cafés and fascinating street art on a private walking tour before spending the afternoon at leisure. Perhaps join an optional excursion to see the famous Penguin Parade on Phillip Island.
Day 3 Melbourne
Enjoy a full day at leisure to further explore Melbourne, one of the most liveable cities in the world. Perhaps venture further afield on an optional excursion to travel the stunning coastline of the Great Ocean Road and marvel at the Twelve Apostles.
Day 4 Melbourne to Alice Springs
Fly to Alice Springs where light pollution is so minimal it makes for some of the best stargazing. Enjoy a barbecue dinner this evening.
Day 5 Alice Springs to Uluru
Journey to Uluru, the iconic rock monolith. Discover Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park at sunset and take a moment to appreciate this unique cultural landmark.
Day 6 Uluru
Enjoy the magical view of Uluru at sunrise before touring the caves at the base to discover ancient Aboriginal rock art. Travel through the desert to Kata Tjuta and take a walk through Walpa Gorge before admiring the sunset over Kata Tjuta.
Day 7 Uluru to Cairns
Capture the unique sight of the Field of Light at sunrise this morning, before learning how to paint Western Desert Art as your Aboriginal artist explains the meanings behind their totems and art work. In the afternoon, fly from Ayers Rock to Cairns and enjoy some free time.
Day 8 Cairns
Spend the day at leisure to relax or continue exploring on an optional excursion. Why not opt to travel to Kuranda to explore the ‘village in the rainforest’ and ride the Skyrail over one of the the oldest rainforests in the world.
Day 9 Great Barrier Reef
Board a high speed catamaran and cruise to the Great Barrier Reef for the experience of a lifetime. Spend the day snorkelling this natural wonder or get up close and explore the reef on a semi-submersible. This evening, dine at a restaurant located on Cairns waterfront.
Day 10 Cairns to Sydney
Board a flight to Sydney this afternoon and spend the afternoon and evening at leisure discovering Australia’s capital city.
Day 11 Sydney
A jam-packed day awaits! Go behind the scenes at the Sydney Opera House, head out onto the water on a lunch cruise for a different perspective of Sydney and visit the famed Bondi Beach.
Day 12 Sydney
There are so many more highlights to this fabulous city and today is yours to do with what you wish. Perhaps explore the stunning Blue Mountains on an optional excursion and see the famous Three Sisters rock formation and visit a Wildlife Zoo to see some of Australia’s cuddly native animals.
Day 13 Sydney
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
