Itinerary
Days 1-2 Hobart
Spend a few days exploring Tasmania’s small but vibrant capital city. Boasting a thriving arts scene and a wealth of fantastic restaurants, Hobart is a lovely waterside city.
Days 3-4 Hobart to Strahan
Collect your motorhome and take the stunning drive west to the quaint riverside town of Strahan. Here the Gordon and Franklin rivers wind their way through the lush landscape of this UNESCO World Heritage Listed Area. On day 4 enjoy a morning cruise into the heart of the Tasmanian wilderness.
Days 5-6 Strahan to Cradle Mountain
Head to Cradle Mountain, which looms over the beautiful Lake St Clair National Park. Take one of the many hiking trails past glacial lakes and ancient rainforest and soak up some of the best scenery in Australia.
Day 7 Cradle Mountain to Stanley
Head to the rugged northwest of Tasmania to the historic village of Stanley which stretches out on a narrow strip of land up to the base of a large volcanic mound. Hike up it or take the chairlift for incredible views.
Days 8-9 Stanley to Launceston
Laidback Launceston lies close to the rolling hills of the Tamar Valley. The iconic Tamar Valley Wine Trail encompasses over thirty vineyards and wineries while the natural wonder of Cataract Gorge is just a 15 minute walk from the city.
Day 10 Launceston to Bay of Fires
Home to some of the most spectacular beaches in Australia, the Bay of Fires region is simply stunning. Long sweeping sands, beautiful landscapes and fresh seafood await on the East Coast of Tasmania.
Days 11-12 Bay of Fires to Freycinet NP
The coastal drive from Bay of Fires offers sensational views. The stunning Freycinet NP is home to pink granite moutains, pristine waters and white beaches with Wineglass Bay being the true highlight.
Day 13 Freycinet to Hobart
Drive back to Hobart to drop off your motorhome before your onward flight.
