Itinerary

Day 1  Adelaide
Explore the major sights of the Adelaide today and join a local guide for a tour of the vibrant Adelaide Central Market. This evening, meet your fellow travellers and tour director for a welcome dinner.  

Day 2  Adelaide to Flinders Ranges
Travel through the rolling hills of South Australia en route to Clare Valley. Visit a local winery before continuing north to Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges.

Day 3  Flinders Ranges to Port Augusta
Soak up the panoramic views of Wilpena Pound at Wangarra Lookout this morning, before travelling through Pichi Rich Pass to the natural harbour of Port Augusta. Learn about the town’s history in the ANZAC’s Gallipoli campaign before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant this evening.            

Day 4  Port Augusta to Coober Pedy
Visit a former rocket testing site at Woomera en route to the isolated town of Coober Pedy, regarded as the opal capital of the world. Watch an opal demonstration with a local expert, before exploring the town’s iconic underground buildings.

Day 5  Coober Pedy to Uluru
Cross the border into the Northern Territory and continue to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. This evening is truly memorable as you sip on a glass of bubbles watching the sun slowly set behind Australia’s most renowned natural landmark.

Day 6  Uluru & Kata Tjuta
Rise early to witness a different side of Uluru and explore the base of the rock as your guide explains the significance of the ancient Aboriginal rock art you’ll see here. This afternoon, visit the 36 magnificent red rocked domes of Kata Tjuta.

Day 7  Uluru to Kings Canyon
Take an optional morning tour to Bruce Munro’s Field of Light installation, a blanket of 50,000 glowing bulbs. Head over to Kings Canyon with its sandstone cliffs, dating back over 400 million years.

Day 8  Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Witness the magnitude of the true Australian outback today as you pass vast cattle properties en route to Alice Springs. Visit the Telegraph Station upon arrival before driving to Anzac Hill for panoramic views over the city.  

Day 9  Alice Springs
Join a local Aboriginal guide this morning to learn of the traditions of the Arrernte people and the native wildlife at Alice Springs Desert Park. Later, visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service to see how they provide medical assistance in the vast outback and enjoy a home cooked barbecue dinner with a local family this evening.

Days  10-11 Alice Springs to Katherine
Visit the legendary School of the Air this morning before travelling north to the former gold-mining town of Tennant Creek. Continue your journey on day 11, visiting the quirky Daly Waters Pub and the thermal springs of Mataranka en route to Katherine.

Day  12 Katherine to Jabiru
This morning, travel to Nitmiluk National Park for a tranquil cruise along spectacular Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge. Continue deep into Kakadu for a cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong, known for its wide variety of birdlife and estuarine crocodiles.

Day 13  Jabiru to Darwin
See one of Kakadu’s renowned Aboriginal rock art sites, Ubirr before walking to Nadab Lookout for magnificent views of the surrounding wetlands. Later, travel to Darwin.

Day 14  Litchfield NP
Travel to Litchfield National Park, famous for its iconic towering termite mounds. Visit Florence Falls and Wangi Falls where there is the opportunity to swim at its base, before heading back to Darwin. Join your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner on a Darwin Harbour dinner cruise.

Day 15  Darwin
Your tour comes to and end after breakfast.
