Itinerary
Days 1-2 Brisbane
Spend two days exploring Queensland’s buzzing riverside state capital, boasting a fabulous dining scene and a host of scenic parklands.
Day 3 Brisbane to Lamington NP
Pick up your car and travel south to Lamington National Park which has a vast area of undisturbed subtropical rainforest, 100 miles of walking tracks and over 500 waterfalls just waiting to be explored.
Day 4 Lamington NP
Absorb bird’s eye views from the treetop canopy walk and try some of the many activities on offer including bushwalking, bird watching and glowworm tours.
Days 5-6 Lamington NP to Montville
Drive north via the picturesque Glass House Mountains to the charming village of Montville, located in the rural hinterland. Both Montville and neighbouring Maleny feature quaint shops and tearooms and the region is rich with glistening lakes, waterfalls and parklands, home to mobs of kangaroos.
Day 7 Montville to Hervey Bay
Rise early and continue to Hervey Bay, famed for outstanding whale watching. Season permitting, you can join a cruise to witness the acrobatic displays of migrating humpback whales (Jul - Oct).
Days 8-9 Hervey Bay to Lady Elliot Island
Today take a scenic flight to remote Lady Elliot Island, in the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. World-famous for its pristine setting, abundance of wildlife and strong eco focus, enjoy reef walks at low tide, snorkel safaris or even learn to dive.
Day 10 Lady Elliot Island to Rainbow Beach
Fly back to the mainland today, pick up your car and continue to Rainbow Beach.
Days 11-12 Rainbow Beach
Visit the famous coloured sands, then join a 4WD day tour to spectacular K’gari (Fraser Island). Dip your toes in refreshing lakes and creeks, traverse boundless 75 Mile Beach with its iconic shipwreck and admire untouched rainforest.
Days 13-16 Rainbow Beach to Noosa
Drive south to friendly Noosa. After two nights staying in the laidback town, peppered with fabulous restaurants and boutique shops, head to the banks of the beautiful everglades for a unique two night glamping experience. Take a cruise in search of native wildlife and simply relax among the grounds where kangaroos roam.
Day 17 Noosa to Brisbane
Return to Brisbane airport and drop off your car in time for your onward flight.
