Days 3-4 Darwin to Mary River NP
Collect your motorhome and join the ’Nature’s Way’ road to Mary River National Park. Explore the area’s lush wetlands, home to the largest concentration of saltwater crocodiles and over 250 species of birds.
Days 5-7 Mary River NP to Kakadu NP
Continue to Kakadu National Park and spend the next two days exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Nourlangie Rock and the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn more of the indigenous culture of the region, then cruise on Kakadu’s most extensive wetlands – the Yellow Water Billabong – for a mesmerising experience with spectacular scenery.
Days 8-9 Kakadu NP to Nitmiluk NP
Head south to Nitmiluk National Park, home to thirteen gorges carved from ancient sandstone. Perhaps visit a selection of these gorges by scenic cruise or visit Top Didj Art Gallery for an insight into Aboriginal artwork, hike one of the many walking trails or take a swim in the pool of Edith Falls.
