Day 2 Entebbe to Kibale NP
Drive through Uganda’s capital city, Kampala, and into the countryside, passing rolling hills and open plains. Arrive at your lodge near Kibale National Park in the afternoon.
Day 3 Kibale NP
Rise early to start your small group trek through the forests of Kibale in search of chimpanzees. You might also spot other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and L’Hoest’s monkeys.
Day 4 Kibale NP to Lake Bunyonyi
Head south towards Lake Bunyonyi, arriving in time for a late lunch. In the afternoon enjoy the optional activities available from the lodge. Take a boat ride on the lake or visit some of the tiny islets and look out for the diverse range of birdlife (payable locally).
Day 5 Lake Bunyonyi to Bwindi Impenetrable NP
Drive towards Bwindi, stopping en route for a game drive in the Ishasha section of the national park, famed for its tree-climbing lions.
Day 6 Bwindi Impenetrable NP
Join your group for a briefing by the park guides before heading into the forest to begin your trek in search of endangered mountain gorillas. The duration of the trek can vary depending on where the gorillas are located, but once found you will spend a memorable hour in their company before trekking back.
Day 7 Bwindi Impenetrable NP to Jinja
Take a light aircraft flight to Entebbe where you will be met for the drive east to Jinja. Here you will take a boat transfer to the wonderful 4★ Lemala Wildwaters Lodge, set in the middle of the River Nile.

Additional Options: Widely regarded as some of the best rafting on the planet, Jinja’s biggest rapids are not for the faint hearted but a range of other options are also available.
