Victoria Falls By Luxury Rail & River Cruise

Day 1  Johannesburg, South Africa      
Arrive in bustling Johannesburg, transfer to the 5★ Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.      

Day 2  Johannesburg      
Explore Soweto, Johannesburg’s beating heart, on a guided tour this morning. Visit the Nelson Mandela House Museum before arriving at the sobering Apartheid Museum, an essential experience on any visit to this history-rich city.      

Days 3-5  Rovos Rail  
Rovos Rail is a byword for luxury and elegance. This morning, transfer from Johannesburg to Pretoria and board this graceful train for the three night journey through Southern Africa’s changing landscape to the roaring Victoria Falls. En route, disembark the train, getting straight into your game vehicle for a game drive around the little explored Hwange National Park. Later, re-board the train and watch the wilds of Africa pass by as you relax in the elegant surroundings of your fully restored carriage.      

Day 6  Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe    
Arrive in Victoria Falls and transfer to the stunning 5★ Victoria Falls River Lodge. Set within Zambezi National Park on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, this luxurious tented camp offers wonderful wildlife viewing opportunities within easy reach of captivating Victoria Falls.  

Days 7-8  Victoria Falls  
With two full days you have plenty of time to explore the area on twice daily activities. Choose from a tour of Victoria Falls, thrilling game drives in the national park or a tranquil river cruise. You will also see the awe-inspiring falls from above on a spectacular helicopter flight.      

Day 9  Victoria Falls to Zambezi Queen    
Transfer to Kasane in Botswana and board the elegant 4★+ Zambezi Queen houseboat, docked on the Namibian side of the Chobe River. Settle in and enjoy an afternoon of game viewing before a welcome cocktail. With just 14 suites, the Zambezi Queen offers a luxurious way to experience the river.      

Day 10  Zambezi Queen    
This morning choose from a range of activities including fishing, bird-watching or an excursion to a local village. After lunch enjoy a water-based safari by tender boat, allowing you to get up close to wildlife including some of Chobe’s 120,000 elephants. Back on board the Zambezi Queen enjoy a drink on deck as the sun sets before a delicious dinner.        

Day 11  Zambezi Queen to Kasane    
Cruise back to the dock looking out for more wildlife on the way, before a transfer to Kasane for your onward flight.
