Egypt Adventure

Day 1  Cairo  
Arrive in Egypt’s bustling capital. This evening you will meet with the rest of your group and your tour leader.  

Days 2-3  Cairo to Aswan  
Head to Giza and admire the iconic Pyramids and Great Sphinx. Soak in panoramic views across the dunes before boarding a sleeper train to Aswan. Enjoy the next morning at leisure to explore this fascinating riverside town, before a visit to a Nubian village where you will have dinner with a local family.  

Day 4  Aswan  
You might like to visit the incredible site of Abu Simbel today and wander around the enormous temples. Alternatively, relax in Aswan and admire your surroundings.  

Day 5  River Nile  
Board a felucca and set sail along the Nile for a wonderful overnight cruise on this famed river.  

Day 6  Aswan to Luxor  
Disembark your felucca this morning before continuing to Luxor by road, travelling through Egyptian countryside with a chance to catch a glimpse of rural life. On arrival, visit the magnificent Karnak Temple, perhaps the most impressive of all the ancient pharoahs’ works.  

Day 7  Luxor to Cairo  
Discover more of Luxor’s ancient wonders today, starting with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon statues on Luxor’s famed west bank. Continue to the amazing burial site of the Valley of the Kings and explore as your tour leader recounts the history of the area. The afternoon is at leisure before catching an overnight train to Cairo.  

Day 8  Cairo  
Arrive in Cairo where your tour ends this afternoon.
