Itinerary
Day 1 Buenos Aires, Argentina to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay
Take the short ferry across the Rio de la Plata from Argentina to Uruguay and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 Colonia del Sacramento
Enjoy a morning walking tour of this picturesque UNESCO World Heritage listed town. Wander the historic cobbled streets, see the ‘Street of Sighs’ which dates back to 1720 and climb the lighthouse for beautiful views. The afternoon is at leisure.
Day 3 Colonia del Sacramento to Montevideo
Transfer to Montevideo, Uruguay’s delightful capital, set on the banks of the Rio de la Plata.
Day 4 Montevideo
This morning tour the city’s highlights, its historic monuments, colonial architecture and lovely plazas. Then head to a vineyard in the countryside for a delicious lunch with wine pairing followed by a tour of the vineyards.
Day 5 Montevideo to Punta del Este
Time for the beach! Drive along the coast to the lively and glamorous resort of Punta del Este. Known as the St Tropez of Uruguay, this cosmopolitan town is at its busiest during the summer months (Dec - Feb).
Day 6 Punta del Este
Enjoy a day at leisure to relax on the white sandy beach, take a stroll around the glitzy marina and enjoy the chic bars and restaurants.
Day 7 Punta del Este to Montevideo
Return to Montevideo to take the ferry back to Buenos Aires or head to the airport for your onward flight.
