Itinerary
Day 1 Antigua, Guatemala
Arrive in Guatemala City and transfer to your hotel in Antigua.
Day 2 Antigua
Discover the cobbled streets and bustling plazas of Antigua on a walking tour. The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore this charming city.
Day 3 Antigua to Lake Atitlán
Drive to stunning Lake Atitlán, a vast shimmering lake in the shadow of three towering volcanoes.
Day 4 Lake Atitlán
Enjoy a full day tour of this picturesque lake and visit the indigenous villages of San Juan La Laguna and Santiago Atitlán.
Day 5 Lake Atitlán to El Petén
Return to Guatemala City via the highland town of Chichicastenango where you can haggle for handicrafts and multi-coloured textiles on market days (Sundays and Thursdays). Fly to Flores and transfer to your hotel in the jungle region of El Petén.
Day 6 Tikal
Discover the magic and mystery of the Mayan world with a fascinating tour to the impressive site of Tikal. Explore the huge temples which rise above the jungle.
Day 7 El Petén to Antigua
Drive to Flores for your flight back to Guatemala City and transfer to Antigua.
Day 8 Antigua to San Ramón, Costa Rica
This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to San José in Costa Rica. On arrival transfer to San Ramón.
Day 9 San Ramón
Step into the heart of the cloud forest with the hotel’s naturalist guide. Discover a two mile trail which showcases a variety of tropical flora and fauna, part of this rare and incredibly diverse biosphere.
Day 10 San Ramón to Arenal
Transfer to Arenal and enjoy a gentle hike through the magnificent Arenal Volcano National Park.
Day 11 Arenal
See the rainforest from a new perspective as you tour along a series of hanging bridges. Admire the views of Arenal volcano and search for wildlife from this unique vantage point.
Day 12 Arenal to Manuel Antonio NP
Embark on the scenic journey from Arenal to the beautiful Pacific coast. The village of Manuel Antonio sits on the edge of one of Costa Rica’s most popular national parks.
Day 13 Manuel Antonio NP
Discover the national park on a leisurely guided hike and try to spot toucans, brightly coloured macaws, sloths and troops of playful monkeys, whilst taking in the breathtaking views over the ocean.
Day 14 Manuel Antonio NP
Relax with a day at leisure.
Day 15 Manuel Antonio NP to San José
Transfer to the airport.
