Itinerary
Days 1-3 Melbourne
Soak up the atmosphere of one of the world’s greatest cities, rich in culture and brimming with fabulous restaurants and chic cafés. Head up the Melbourne Skydeck for panoramic views of the city from above.
Days 4-5 Melbourne to Phillip Island
After picking up your car in Melbourne, take the short drive down to Phillip Island, home to picturesque beaches, captivating coastlines and some of Australia’s most unique wildlife. On your full day, get up close with Australia’s native species, stroll along scenic boardwalks to spot koalas, hand-feed kangaroos and watch the famous little penguins waddling back to their home at sunset. Perfect for nature lovers!
Days 6-7 Phillip Island to Mornington Peninsula
Today, visit one of the region’s picturesque vineyards for a spot of wine tasting and explore the stunning coastlines and beautiful beaches. Perhaps spend some time to relax and unwind at one of the natural geothermal springs after a busy day exploring the island.
Days 8-9 Mornington Peninsula to Apollo Bay
This morning take the ferry from Mornington Peninsula to Queenscliff and begin your journey along the Great Ocean Road. Relax on Apollo Bay’s sandy beaches and enjoy freshly caught seafood in one of the waterfront restaurants. On the next day, visit Port Campbell National Park and wander the boardwalks to view the magnificent limestone stacks known as the Twelve Apostles. Take in the stunning view of these spectacular rocks and the breathtakingly beautiful coastline.
Day 10 Apollo Bay to Port Fairy
En route to the historic village of Port Fairy visit Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve, an extinct volcano which koalas, kangaroos and emus call home.
Days 11-12 Port Fairy to Halls Gap
The pristine beauty and enormity of the Grampian Ranges become apparent as they begin to dominate the horizon on this section of your journey. Sitting at the foot of the mountains, Halls Gap is a great base from which to explore the lakes, waterfalls and wildlife of the Grampians National Park.
Days 13-14 Halls Gap to Daylesford
The beautiful region of Daylesford will let you re-energise in the naturally occurring mineral springs. Explore the historic villages and sample the exquisite food and wine of the area.
Day 15 Daylesford to Melbourne
Take the short drive back to the airport where your holiday ends.
