Journey
Discovering Australia’s breathtaking wilderness and sheer scale is a spellbinding experience by rail. The Overland offers an enchanting way of travelling between Melbourne and Adelaide.
Soak up a diverse range of landscapes from rugged mallee scrubland, to fields of golden crops, over vast open plains and through gently rolling hills. The Overland passes through classic Australian country towns including Murray Bridge, Bordertown, Nhill, Dimboola, Horsham, Ararat and Geelong. The journey is a wonderful opportunity to relax in comfort, mingle with fellow guests and delight in the ever-changing countryside along the way.

The Overland is a daylight service between adelaide and melbourne. guests can choose between 2 levels of service, red premium and red service. meals and drinks are available to purchase from café 828 in the café carriage.
Red Service - Seating is two seats on either side of the carriage. snacks are available from the café carriage.
Red Premium Service - Seating is two seats on one side and a single seat on the other side of the carriage. seats swivel to allow for socialising with fellow guests. it offers increased legroom and luggage allowance, free orange juice/water upon boarding and a small selection of a lá carte trolley service dining.
