La Casa del Suizo

Located on the banks of the Napo River this jungle lodge is easily accessible and offers an excellent Amazon Rainforest experience. A scenic 4 hour drive from Quito will take you to the small village of Ahuano, from where a 15 minute boat ride along the river will bring you to the lodge. There are a variety of excursions on offer, including guided walks through the jungle with knowledgeable guides, canoeing, bird-watching and visits to the local village. Whilst not exploring the rainforest, escape the heat with a dip in the pool, relax in the bar and enjoy buffet meals in the outdoor dining area. Rooms are simple, fan cooled and feature a private terrace with a hammock.
