This luxury camp (one of The Ultimate Travelling Camps) is set amidst the dramatic glacial landscapes of the Nubra Valley at an altitude of 3,100m. Nestled in a quiet corner of Diskit village and with a natural stream running through the campsite, it is a truly enchanting place to spend a few days. Facilities include a dining tent with indoor and outdoor seating, a library with board games and an organic vegetable garden. The camp offers a host of complimentary activities. There are opportunities to ride a double hump Bactrian camel or head out on a two-wheeled adventure. Enjoy a Ladakhi cookery session with one of the chefs or take a guided stroll to the nearby village and get acquainted with the ever smiling locals. Alternatively simply curl up with your book or enjoy the sun setting over the ice-capped peaks and watch as a billion stars rise bright under the crisp clear Himalayan sky. Each of the Luxury Suite Tents has a private veranda and is beautifully appointed, with four poster beds and campaign style furniture. The en suite bathrooms are equipped with a shower cubicle and hot running water as well as luxury toiletries.
