Tea Houses

Tea Houses are local family run guest houses offering basic accommodation and each Tea House is unique. Modest but hearty home cooked meals (usually daal bhaat) are served in a communal dining room. Bedrooms are very simple and unheated. Blankets are provided but we strongly reccomend you bring your own sleeping bag, liner and pillow case. At higher altitudes in more remote areas, the accomodation may be in a dormitory. Bathroom facilities are shared with other guests and typically feature Asian style squat toilets. Although Tea Houses have running water and electricity, hot water can be limited and there may be intermittent power cuts.

As we can offer you such a flexible choice of flights, we don't include international airfares with our hotel prices. The price you pay will be determined by the time of year you travel, your departure airport, airline and availability.
