Located in the historical centre of Fort Cochin, Malabar House dates back to the 18th Century. Originally owned by a Dutch East India company official, over the years it has passed through the hands of spice traders, tea traders and bankers before it became Fort Cochin's first boutique heritage hotel. Today it successfully combines its heritage architecture with contemporary design. Ideally located for exploring the surrounding area the hotel offers free bicycle hire and walking maps. The hotel features an inner courtyard shaded by trees, a small pool and a restaurant offering fresh seafood. The individually designed rooms feature local art and antiques with splashes of bright vibrant colour.
